Gabe's Fight

My best friend, Shawn's little boy Gabe has been through more in his 4 short years than most adults ever will. These include a pacemake put in at 4 days old, Noonans Syndrome, and many more health issues. On June 26 Gabe had is spleen removed to help alleviate esophageal varices. He has had complications since including and collapsed lung and chyle leak to name a couple. He is being cared for in Children's Hospital in Birmingham, 2 hours from where we live. Thankfully Shawn has been able to stay with Gabe but it hard on her. With the price of gas being high trips to see Gabe and Shawn are becoming hard for Shawn's fiancé, her older son, her mother and her sisters. So please any amount that you could give to help this awesome mom and her little boy would be great. Gabe may be in the hospital for quite a while. Shawn has to stay in the room at all times unless another friend or family member is there because an adult always has to be with Gabe all the time. Food is not allowed in the room and they do provide a refrigerator in the family room she has to provide her own meals, but leaving to eat is very hard with no one there. She has been a single mom all of Gabes life and done all of it with the strength and grace that unimaginable. Let's give her some help.
