The funds raised will go towards the raw material that is needed to build Galactica such as wood, nuts, bolts, and beams. Also, the funds collected will assist with all the fees associated with contracting with structural engineers and transportation of the skateboard to community art events in the San Francisco Bay Area and Nevada starting in May of “2023”.
Purpose
Whether you are riding your art bike or passing by in a mutant vehicle, Burners will have the opportunity to see up close and interact with the mystical world of Zodiac creatures painted on the deck of the skateboard at the Burning Man event, Animalia.
After the Burning Man Event
The skateboard will serve as an art canvas and taken to various communities in California where children can demonstrate their innate art skills, particularly in communities where art skills are often overlooked because of their social and economic backgrounds. Thereafter, the skateboard will be re-attached to the full structure and taken to community art events for people to see.
