Funding Needed to Assist Ukraine

name is Tim Conley. I am the president of the Interstate Disaster Medical Collaborative and one of the founding members. The interstate disaster medical collaborate, IDMC, was formed over 10 years ago. It is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit organization that provides a forum for collaboration, cooperation and coordination of disaster medical experts, assets, and systems. As members of IDMC we are able to stay connected and assist each other during our independent state assignments to national disasters in the United States. IDMC members have the option to volunteer as a coalition when not on their regular deployments. The mission is to enhance the delivery of healthcare, training and provide consultation where is needed most. We provide aid wherever our expertise and resources can be useful. The mission is accomplished by bringing together a network of likeminded organizations. We have been fortunate to develop a robust group of partners by this network.

 

IDMC was approached by other non-for-profit organizations that were deploying to Ukraine and Poland in March 2022. Those organizations have been providing medical care to the people of Ukraine. We were asked to provide logistical support from the United States on whatever came their way while they were on the ground. For the past several weeks we have been serving them through situational awareness via our intelligence, providing medical and protective equipment as requested. We continuously receive urgent request for surgical equipment, Hazmat and emergency medical equipment needed by the hospitals and field medical teams . These hospitals are being supported by our teams on the ground and the equipment we send has a definitive delivery area. Additionally, we have partnered with several partner agencies to provide training of CBRNE, Tele-training, and Teleconsultation for health care providers in the conflict area. As you can imagine the logistics required to maintain all this is massive and requires funding.

We need you help to support and fund this important mission. When you support IDMC, you are making it possible for us to support the teams on the ground with needed equipment in the provisional hospitals, the Ukranian healthcare workers, hospitals and patients with needed medications and equipment. When IDMC can provide extraordinary support, the troops on the ground are able to focus on doing their best job. We are all doing our part. Ukrainians need us to work together. We want to be there for them!

More information about Interstate Disaster Medical Collaborativ: The Interstate Disaster Medical Collaborative (IDMC) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization which provides support for state and regional disaster medical teams and projects. During normal operations, we assist collaboration and sharing of resources between the disaster teams. From education and training, resource typing and targeted EMACs, we develop solutions to those lessons learned during disasters. In response to events of 2022 we are working with global partnerships for humanitarian medical support.
