9 year old's cancer battle

This GoFundMe campaign is to raise money to help a wonderful family of four living in Northern Virginia.  The Fulk's are a typical American family.  The father is a 20-year Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, scheduled to retire mid-2018.  The mother worked for a bank while their two children attend elementary school.  The son, Braxton, is 9 years old and his younger sister is 7.  On weekends, they enjoy hiking the trail, running the battlefields and enjoy each others' laughter. 

Two weeks ago they were struck with the most devastating news a family could receive; the son was diagnosed with brain cancer.  It all started early October when Braxton began randomly getting sick to his stomach.  At first, like any parent to include the doctors, they thought it was a stomach bug.  He then started to complain about neck pain, but that was explained by the Taekwondo he studies twice a week.  As time went on Braxton started having motor skill and balance issues which is when MSgt and Mrs. Fulk knew something wasn't right regardless what the local doctors claimed.  Mrs. Fulk rushed young Braxton to the Ft. Belvoir ER on 11/10/17 where the skilled doctor immediately ordered an MRI.  The results came back and showed that Braxton had a 4th ventricular brain tumor.  Luckily, surgeons were able to remove the mass on 11/13/17 but found more tumors in the cerebellum, around his hearing nerves, and one last one in the middle of his brain.  He has been given a 50/50 chance of surviving this but will never live life how he once knew it before.

As of today (11/16/17), Braxton has lost all but the simplest motor functions.  He is unable to articulate what he needs, such as food, water, or to use the restroom.  He is scheduled to be transported to Philadelphia within the next few weeks, where he will receive multiple treatments of chemo and radiation.  During this time, MSgt Fulk will be by his side while his younger sister and mother reside in Virginia during the week and travel four hours during the weekends to visit. 

This family is one of the best families I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and they need our support.  All the money raised will go to help with transportation, food, and everyday household bills, not to mention the upcoming holidays for Braxton and his sister.  Thank you for your support!!!
