Our Sister Sharon has terminal stage 4 Colon Cancer. For several years she has been battling this dreadful disease not really knowing exactly what it was. In August of 2013 our family was called together to be informed that at 57 years of age Sharon had been diagnosed with Colon Cancer and is not expected to live more than 6 months. They explained to us that this disease is very difficult to diagnose and normally once found it is already terminal. This sickness has taken a toll on her and all of our family. She has been unable to work for several years and her husband is also disabled and cannot work. They are surviving on what little help Social security provides and have not been able to save or plan for final expenses as well as the high cost of hospice care and medications. As difficult as it is to even think about needing to prepare for funeral services, we have been faced with the reality that they must be prepared for. The cost of a modest funeral service is upwards of $10,000.00 on its own. Coupled with the expenses of keeping a home and paying medical costs, this is a very frightening expense to try and raise. We are asking for small donations from friends and family to try and at least offset the costs of funeral arrangements. All of the money collected will go directly to the funeral arrangements and any that remains will be used to pay medical bills. Please help in any way you can. Thank You and God Bless
