I am a single mother in Nashville Tn and I need your help to help my 10 year old daughter. She went undiagnosed with ADD until just before the 3rd grade. Despite this, once we got her on some meds she was on and off Honor Roll through 3rd and on Honor Roll all of 4th. This enabled her to be accepted to Meigs Middle School, one of, if not the, best middle/jr high in Nashville. Because of it, though, she was not able to establish those reading skills that are vital from here on out. My mother and I work with her but neither of us has any experience with ADD and the difficulties caused by it. Sylvan Learning Center in Green Hills has assessed her and come up with a plan to help her but I am a full time student myself who works for herself. As it is we have to depend on my mother for help with our mortgage while I take care of everything else so we just don't have the money to pay for the center. We are hoping to raise the $10,000 necessary for the 203 hours estimated she will need. We would also like to start a scholarship fund for other children like her, whose parents don't have the necessary money to help them succeed at school. So I have started this GoFundMe.com page, For Arwen's Future! The folks at Sylvan have agreed to allow us to start a fund whereby any moneys that we receive in donations that we don't use will go into said fund. They have also said that donations can be made in my name, Janet Pollock, directly to them for that purpose. So won't you please help me help my daughter!
