Hello, my name is Audiberthe. I'm creating this fund to help my 12-year-old niece.

On 5 March, my niece Jolie was rushed to the ER with severe pain in her cheeks, armpits, and groin. After getting her blood drawn, doctors discovered that her white blood cell count was critically high.

After a bone marrow biopsy and several other tests in the following days, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL), an aggressive cancer of the blood and bone marrow.

Given the aggressive nature of ALL, the doctors told her mother to start treatment immediately - including chemotherapy. This turned their entire life upside down, forcing her to drop out of school and focus on beating her leukemia and getting better.

While Jolie and her mother, with the doctors, have been extremely optimistic about her journey battling ALL, her treatment is going to be arduous with unforeseen challenges. The projected treatment timeline is roughly 3 years, with the first year being heavy with treatment, uncertainty, and additional testing.

I'm setting up this GoFundMe to raise money to help pay for unforeseen medical costs and supplement her mother's lack of insurance in Morocco and the cost of living while she cannot go to work because she is staying with her daughter. That's why I want to help her and Jolie overcome this aggressive treatment, sometimes requiring full days of chemo and extended stays in the hospital.
