Abigail Nikas, daughter of Jenny Huchison (now Nikas), originally from Minneola, Kansas, was born February 14, 2014 is currently fighting for her life in a children's hospital in Temple Texas. Less than three months old and she's been ill for a while. In and out of the hospital for the last month, if not longer.
Suffering from para-influenza, rhino virus and bronicholitus, little Abgail's suffering from severe respitory distress, both her upper and lower respitory systems are on the verge of shutting down completely. She has recently been sedated and put on a ventilator , where they are trying to keep her oxygen levels normal along with giving her multiple blood transfusions.
Her parents and older sister, age 2, are currently staying at the hospital all hours of day, never leaving their baby's side. Medical bills, along with the regular cost of living is kicking them hard.
Those of you that know my family, know we do not ask for a helping hand unless it is absolutely needed, and in this case, we feel for the Nikas family, it is.
