Hi everyone, my name is Sherrie and I am a dancer with a heart for children. This summer I would like to use my dancing for a positive cause, to give back to the underprivileged street children in Nyamirambo, Rwanda where people struggle to afford the basics.
I am trying to raise the sum of £4000. This money will allow me to pay for one years worth of medical care for multitudes of children, as well as provide them with and mosquito nets. I am doing all of this in effort to fight against the amout of children that die from Malaria in Rwanda. One of these statistics includes my cousin Kayemba who lost his life to the deadly disease. Malaria is responsible for over 40% of hospital deaths in Rwanda, of which 42% are children under five!
The fun part: On the day, Nyamirambo will come together for a fun day of dance fitness and motivational speaking. This will uplift their spirits and also change their life as they leave with mosquito nets, food and a years worth of medical care!
