Save the rescue, saves the horses

Thank you for taking time to read our plea. 
Lisa and I, Richard Kirkman are both horse trainers in the North FL area. We rescue horses from so many different situations. From euthanasia by local animal control to families that are experiencing physical ailments or just from economic circumstances that prevent them from caring for their horses. What ever the reason we do our best to save as many horses as possible. We have a short period of time to raise enough money to purchase the farm that we are currently at and make it a forever home for these horses in need. 

Just to give you a little more background on what we do. When a horses comes to us we rehabilitate the horses through diet and forage as well as physical training. Once the horses temperament is determined we will train him/her for a job or to be a trail horses or a therapy horse. Some horse become therapeutic riding horses to help children with Autism through equine therapy.  

The reason this is so important is not just for the horses but for the lives that the horses touch. Your tax deductible contribution will be and is the future of this great program. Please think of this as not only helping the horses but helping the countless number of people that benefit from this program. 

We did not want to place a bunch of pictures of horses that are in dyer straights. Even though we are trying to save horses, we are trying to save the ability to work with children & adults, to offer all walks of life the ability to experience what the horses offer to human development.  

What We Need & What You Get
The family of the land that we are currently on need to sell the property due to economic issues. The rescue needs to raise $150,000.00 to purchase the property. Even if we do not hit our goal to raise this amount we can at least put what is raised towards a downpayment. If for some reason the land deal does not come to fruition. We will donate the money to another horses rescue with the terms that they take the horses that we currently have.

Your Impact
Please know that your help is so important to a program like this. We all know people that have children that have learning, emotional, and physical disabilities. We have worked with all of these types of children and adults. What we have found is there is a connection made between the horses and the child or person. There is almost an immediate result in the individual for the positive.  We do not charge absorbent amounts of money like many programs similar to ours. We want all walks of life to be able to experience the healing power of the horses. This program is worth saving and we need you to save it. We have taken children with so little core strength she could not walk on her own without the assistance of canes. After 6 months of learning how to ride we where able to build her core making it possible to walk unassisted. We have taken children with Autism to a level only a horse can do. From being withdrawn to building confidence and from never riding a horse to winning Grand Champion in a English show competing against ten other riders with no disabilities. Teaching a child or even an adult can and does bring such a positive emotion to anyones life through the eyes of a horse.
