Face Forward - Masks made by Ugandan Women (C-19)

COVID-19 has meant huge shifts in all our lives. While we in the UK start to ease restrictions, countries like Uganda continue their tight lockdown in the attempt to keep the virus at bay. Women's empowerment charity Ride4awoman (www.ride4awoman.org) sits on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable rainforest and provides work for a community of women who make products made from African fabrics.
Product sales mean that these women can feed their kids - it is as simple as that. And so we are making face masks for the UK & Europe and other countries where we are expected to wear them. There are principally two ways to donate to buy masks:
If you are a business or organisation with £100 to spare and you would like to support us we are building a seed fund to get us going with small scale but bulk production and shipping.
If you are an individual four masks are £24.95 including postal costs (for the UK). Why not buy four, gift them to friends and ask them in turn to support us by donating enough for their own pack of four. That way we keep paying it forward.
