Woman Who Was Beaten Stabbed Set on Fire Speaks Out to Help Other Domestic Violence Survivors

This is the FACE of a SURVIVOR.
This is the FACE of VANEEJSHA REESE. Her life was almost taken from us and she needs our help on her journey to recovery. In July of 2019 she was attacked by the father of her children, held against her will, pistol whipped and brutally beaten, bound, sexually assaulted, stabbed 6 times, doused with lighter fluid, then set on fire and left to die. All while her children stood nearby and watched.
The severity of this horrific attack left Vaneejsha, a mother of three, ages two, three, and five years old, clinging to life. With 3rd and 4th degree burns down to the bones, covering her head, face, left eye, back, and both arms and hands, she is thankful to be alive and thankful to still be here with her children. After being hospitalized for 8 weeks in the critical care burn unit, she has endured 11 surgeries and countless procedures. She suffers from chronic pain, PTSD and insomnia due to this real life nightmare. She has to learn how to use her hands again because the tops of her thumbs were amputated. Her hair will never grow back and her face, scalp, neck, back and arms are permanently disfigured.

As the sole caregiver of her children, Vaneejsha not only needs help with childcare expenses, she also needs funds for at-home medical assistance, ongoing medical surgeries and treatments, physical therapies, counseling, transportation to and from hospital visits, and essentials including food and housing. Your support will help this family overcome the pain of this tragedy and the financial obstacles they currently face so they can live full and happy lives, together.
