Supporting Ezekiel Ballard and Family

Hello everyone!

As you all know, the Ballards have been through quite the journey this year. Ezekiel was born at 28 weeks and endured a long 8 and a half month stay in the Neonatal ICU where he had 13+ surgeries and procedures, and almost didn’t make it on several occasions.

God is good and Ezekiel DID get to go home with his parents for 5 wonderful weeks, but he, unfortunately, ended up back in the Pediatric ICU. After almost another month of being hospitalized again, there was nothing else that Ezekiel’s doctors could do to get him stable enough to go home. It was then decided that it was time to transfer him to a higher level of care for specialized treatment of his medical conditions.

Chad and Christine’s lives were flipped upside down, as they were given less than a week’s notice to make arrangements to immediately transfer Ezekiel across the country to John’s Hopkins All Childrens Hospital in Florida.

With this huge and unexpected move, Chad and Christine were unable to truly prepare for anything. They were forced to place everything on hold at home in Texas, including their jobs, to seize this God-given opportunity for Ezekiel to receive the care he needed.

Neither Chad nor Christine are currently able to work, as Ezekiel’s length of stay at Johns Hopkins is still unknown. This hospitalization is by no means even close to the end of Ezekiel’s complex medical journey, as there is still quite a long road ahead with more major surgeries to come.

We appreciate all of your prayers for this sweet family and are asking for your support and contributions to bless them and help take away some of the financial burdens that they are experiencing with Ezekiel’s long road towards living a normal life.
