***********************************************************
Our good friend Erik passed away in a Seattle hospital on October 19th. His year long battle with cancer understandably took a significant financial toll on his family.
We're asking Erik's friends to pull together to raise $7500 to help out with funeral expenses.
Please help spread the word.
Any portion of the proceeds of this fundraiser in excess of funeral related costs will be donated in Erik's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
GoFundMe has required the following details be added here before Erik's mom can access the funding:
Erik's mother, Margaret Jorgensen, has been made the beneficiary of this fundraising campaign, as she is handling the funeral arrangements. The money from this campaign, after GoFundMe take their cut (5% of each donation, plus another 2.9% transfer fee + thirty cents whenever money is transferred) will be transferred into a bank account held by Mrs. Jorgensen. From that account she will pay for the funeral and related expenses, and as stated above, excess funds will be donated by Mrs. Jorgensen in Erik's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital. I am John O'Gara, most of you know me as Jack. I am originally from The Bronx, NY, currently residing in Bedford Hills, NY. I am a long time friend of Erik and his family.
