These people who suffer from Epilepsy need your help. (EAU) aims to bring together all people affected by epilepsy in Uganda so that they can live to their full potential.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had disastrous effects on people with epilepsy in Africa.

In Kampala, Uganda, alone there are hundreds of people living with epilepsy.  Due to the pandemic most of them are living with no meals and medicine. Uganda is in lockdown again in June 2021 which is placing more strain on agencies trying to help people with epilepsy.

EAU has organised a campaign of giving out face masks and sanitisers. Of greater need however, is food and medications for people with epilepsy who cannot work at this time.  Without proper meals, anti-epileptic medications do not work as effectively.

Epilepsy Action Uganda  works on the ground getting support to those directly in need.

Founder, Gideon Ronald Akanyijuka, started EAU after the death of his young sister, Ronah, from epilepsy. Read his story here

Gideon says

"Due to limited finances at Epilepsy Awareness Uganda  we can’t reach out to epilepsy sufferers when they need the help most. That’s why we need you, our friends to help feed a person and help us access their medications. Thank you for your help and kindness towards people with epilepsy "

Two dollars ($2) may be enough to feed one family a day.

Forty dollars ($40) will pay for a person's medicines for a month.
