Hello Everyone!
I would never request anything like this unless absolutely necessary. But due to the current economic situation due to the pandemic, I really lack other options. Currently an injured member of local law enforcement.
My fiance and I are expecting the birth of our first child on July 26th, 2020. Currently, my fiance lives in the Philippines and I live in the United States. In the Philippines the health care system is not really that great. It is difficult to get appropriate health insurance to cover medical expenses. Most insurance there is a 12 month waiting period to be able to use it or most insurance plans do not cover the birth of a child. All hospitals require cash before a procedure without health insurance.
The request is only for $2800 and no more is necessary. The current exchange rate is 1 USD to 50 PHP (Philippine Peso).
The request is for emergency funds in case a cesarean section would be necessary. An unfortunate fact is 1/3 of pregnancies between a man of European and woman of Asian descent result in cesarean section.
Currently, a cesarean section runs around 130,000 PHP or $2600 USD. Sometimes these cost change depending on the medical facility.
Anything that can be donated would be appreciated! I really appreciate you looking at this request!
We were set to be married on April 25th, 2020, but the wedding had to be rescheduled until October due to COVID-19.
