Ember's brain surgery at Duke

Please help support Ember during this difficult time.

She has had 2 major brain surgeries one for a decompression due to Chiari Malformation and the second to place a permenent shunt to drain the fluid building up in her brain. She has suffered a stroke and seizure after the first surgery and is on anti-seizure meds as a precaution.

At this time the doctors are trying to teach her how to eat again. The part of the brain that controls swallowing and keeping food in your stomach was affected by the pressure of fluid build up in her brain. If this is not successfull, Ember will need yet another surgery to have a tube placed into her stomach where her mom will use to feed her until she can gain the skills to eat again at a baby should.

She will be in the hospital for a long time recovering. Maryann needs to stay in hotel during this time as her home is 3 hour round trip from the hospital. Please help her to just get by on the bare essentials such as shelter and food. This is a devastating time for her parents. 

Ember's Dad is in active military and has served 2 tours in Afghanistan. They need our help.
