Who invited cancer? Eleri’s journey

Eleri is usually a very active 7 year old until 23rd December 2017 when she complained about a pain in her leg. The local doctor told her not to worry as it was probably just growing pains. In March 2018 after further 3 visits to GP’s in both Wales and Fairford, Eleri’s parents made the decision to take her to the local casualty to get her checked out. It turned out that those ‘growing pain’s’ were actually the pain of a very rare form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma!

Only 30-40 children are diagnosed with this form of cancer a year and usually between the age of 10 -25. Need I remind you that Eleri is just 7!

This page has been set up to help raise money, not just for the Hooper family, but also for the amazing hospital that Eleri will be treated in over the next year and the charities who will support her.

Not only that but Eleri has expressed her wish to go to Disney once she is better next year. If this is what gives her hope to push through all the pain she is currently suffering then we will make it our priority to fundraise as much as possible to send her there.
