Eden's Cove Farm

Eden's Cove Farm is in trouble. We started this with a crazy dream and a lot of support from friends and family. The idea was to build an organic heretage hog farm and we've done that. Along the way, we've opened our doors to dozens of people, we've been friend, parent, sibling, and counselor to people who needed to retreat and re-focus their lives. These wonderful people have helped us to build this farm, and in doing so they became a part of our farm. But now the farm is in trouble.

Vivian lost her job in November of 2013 shortly before her surgery. The farm, without her income, is struggling to survive and needs your support. With monthly pork sales approaching $4000 we are on the very edge of making this farm self sustaining, but time is not on our side and the Gods have thrown another stone in our path. For the third time in as many years Sean must once again battle cancer.

We need serious financial help to make it through the next few months while our sales build and Vivian finds another job. We need money to feed the hogs, money for the tractor, and above all a little extra help just keeping the land. We need you, your friends, your family, and anyone and everyone that can to chip in to keep not only our dream, but the hopes and dreams of everyone who's ever shared a meal or a smile out at the farm alive.

Since the beginning, Eden's Cove has been a place of love and laughter and sharing. From big family meals (where everyone is considered family) to a weekend shelter for friends to long term WWOOF volunteer hosting, The Cove has always kept their doors and hearts open to the world, offering peace, friendship and a smile to come home to for everyone. Eden's Cove has lived up to its name as a safe place for new beginnings.

Rescue WWOOFer's are a favorite of The Cove. Those brave souls who have found themselves on the wrong farm at the wrong time and come seeking our help in their darkest hour. These people have always been a favorite and we have never once had to turn one down. From the girl running from too many ducks in her bed to Mr. Osaka who found himself stranded in San Fran when the people who agreed to host him changed their mind (after his plane landed). Rescuing is just in our nature.

WWOOF families are a rare find and while we've only had one they will forever hold a special place in our hearts. They spent 6 months with us, and never have we been so heartbroken to see friends move on. Their little girl, scared of everything when she arrived, left as a farm girl. Her shoes are forever enshrined in our entryway we dream of the day we get to visit her in her home country and wonder if she will remember us.

At the end of the day; Eden's Cove is not a place for us, it's a place for you, me and everyone. Everyone who needs a break from the world. Everyone who needs a chance to explore themselves or experiment with their creative side. Everyone that longs for a life productive but less complicated.

The Cove has been here for us, for many of you, and we are asking for your help to keep it here for everyone down the road. We're asking for help getting through the next 3 months while we get this place over the edge and Vivian lands another job.
