Hi! I'm Jennie and I'm here to find love - if you'll help me.
My current stats: 35 years old. Great job. Great friends. VERY single.
I have two cats that I love dearly. I have always loved animals but the day I met Tyrone I fell in love and then found him a friend and fell in love again with Tyra. They are currently my world and while I'm ok with that, I want more for myself (and them)!
I come from a great family. My parents have been married 40 years and have taught me how to work together, battle through difficult times, and show their children unconditional love (look at these crazy kids below on their wedding day!)
I also have an older sister (see below, not a twin, just a Dwin) who's been dating a nice Jewish boy from our hometown. The parents are thrilled! (He's a cool guy)
And then there's me. The youngest child. Though my parents try not to mention it, they will on occasion say that they're sure I'll find love when I'm ready. My grandmother even told me a couple weeks ago that she hopes she'll be alive to see me get married (and that there wasn't much time left). Oy.
But why am I not having luck in the love department? I consider myself a decent looking person. I can take a joke as well as give it (HELLLOOO - this is a GoFundMe for - wait for it- ME!) I'm career/goal focused. I love animals. I'm loyal and considerate. The answer might be that I'm not looking for the right people in the right places. So where are people meeting each other? I don't know. It's clear to me that if I want to get married, it's time I try something else:
A MATCHMAKER
I need someone who is responsible for finding legitimately single men who are not insane - and I found one. Here's the catch: there is a sizable membership fee. This is where you come in! If you, like me, think I'm too single, and you want me once and for all to have a date to your next party/wedding/dinner, etc. you can donate money to pay for the cost of a membership with this local matchmaker. Your donation will pay for me to enroll in the program and in turn, I will commit to finding the man of my dreams aka "Mr. "Dwin"...hey, why can't he take MY name!?

*How does it work? I've been pre-screened with the matchmaker and the program will give me profiles of two men weekly that they think would be the right fit. I decide if I want to go out with someone, then the man will plan the date (with the direction/help of the matchmaker). Post date, I tell the matchmaker how it went so she can coach me and adjust the future suggested matches. It's her job to constantly put someone in front of me that would be a good match on paper, but ultimately, we need to meet and see if it works. I will continue to get profiles until I decide I've met "The One".
*But what if it doesn't end up in marriage? Well, this program allows me to pause while I'm dating someone and restart if we break up. I will get matches until I get married and tell them I'm a success story.
*Why should I donate? Possible options include: You want me to be happy and enjoy having my own Ferris Bueller for life, You want me to stop looking for a +1 for events because you know it's stressful, You know this will work for me and want to remind me at my wedding that I did a GoFundMe and YOU helped, You want to find a dad for Tyra and Tyrone, You know I'll appreciate it forever!!!
Risks and challenges
*Maybe I'll have to work late and it'll be hard to schedule the date.
*Maybe I won't like all the matches.
*Maybe some of these dates will be horribly embarrassing and frustrating.
*And maybe some guy I actually like might be allergic to cats!
Regardless, if this goal is reached, I'm committed to making the effort to work through these challenges (though the cats and I are a package deal so this guy better stock up on Benadryl...)
