Ongoing Care for Mona and Dwight

On April 2nd, after an 18.5 cm mass was found on her shoulder and armpit, Mona (Mom) was diagnosed with B cell Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. As most of you are aware, mom is our dad’s primary care giver as he is paralyzed and requires significant daily care. Currently, Dad (Dwight) is at the Minneapolis VA hospital awaiting surgery of his own which will require lots of aftercare. So both of our parents will be needing significant help in the coming months/years.  As if all this wasn’t enough, in recent weeks their home has conspired against them with frozen pipes, well issues, and most recently a septic tank problem that has created some larger expenses that are outside of their limited budget. Should you choose to contribute to this campaign, your generosity will help with Mom’s potential loss of income due to inability to work, additional home health care for both of our parents, and help with a future move from their home to a place we can more easily help care for them and be with them. A Facebook group “Dwight & Mona’s Medical Fight” has been created where we will post all health updates and we welcome you to join and comment there which will mean so much to all of us.
