We are Kristofer Dangcil and David Chaney. We are Driven Beer Company. We LOVE beer. This world NEEDS beer. Great beer. Real Beer. Beer for the people. We make GREAT beer. But we need your help. To ensure our beer is the best it can be, we need YOU.

Our Story

Driven Beer company is the brain child of two friends who share a strong penchant for adventure. Delicious adventure. We are Kristofer Dangcil and David Chaney. Just a couple of crazy kids from Pasadena, CA. Since we were 16 years old we knew we wanted to start a business together. Whether it's freestyling up spicy bison bacon sloppy joes or building budget race cars in our driveways, we love to get our hands dirty and figure out how and why something works--and how to make it even better. We took a road trip to San Diego in 2012 to explore the epicenter of California's beer scene and taste the true nectar of the gods. After a weekend of wobbly wandering, we had ingested enough courage to believe that, "We, too, can make great beer!" That afternoon we packed a homebrew kit into the back of my 2009 Kia Spectra and proceeded to make...the worst beer of all time. Over the next 10 years, we would evolve from countless stovetop disasters and driveway duds to winning 6 industry-recognized awards.

David Chaney--our Spectacled Spectacle, our Brainiac Brewmaster, our Lead Wheelman--has championed the success of two separate start-up breweries in Southern California. He has built breweries from the ground up, from digging trenches and turning wrenches to sipping his award-winning American light lager with the world's beer titans. At his first professional venture he tripled beer production and created a five-time award winning craft beer revolution.

Kristofer Dangcil--our Maestro of Good Times, our Creative Freight Train, Our Driving-force of Festivities--has been at the helm with David since day one. He is responsible for orchestrating and facilitating operations, paper pushing and weaving this complex tapestry we call Driven Beer Company. He is a business phenom with a background in business banking, sales and customer service. His passion for food and flavors led him away from a banker's desk and into brewing boots when he officially teamed up with David at his first brewing venture.

Three years and six awards later, they realized that simply making someone else's beer dreams a reality wouldn't satisfy them.

The Call to Action

Now it is YOUR turn. We have the location. We have the equipment. We have the know-how, but we need YOUR help to get us across the finish line. Operating capital is essential for a successful opening and the creation of your delicious beer. We need to make sure we can get through the first few months of production and bills to keep our beautiful new 10BBL brewhouse cranking out the delicious concoctions this world needs. Now look at all the shiny things!!

The Space

Located at The Exchange Bellflower in downtown Bellflower, CA, we will operate as the anchor business in a beautiful communal business space, historically a JCPenney open from 1952 to 1979. Once we are up and running, other like-minded creators, including food, drink and craft-makers, will fill out the remainder of the open 20,000sqft space until we have a rich and diverse daily hotspot for locals and tourists alike. As huge fans of car culture, Driven will also populate the space with our favorite cars, builds from our personal garages, and showcase guest rides from our friends and the surrounding community.
