Emanuel Josiah Perry

Were do we start? This is the toughest thing we ever had to face and or experience in our lives ever. But I must first give God all the praise for he has a better plan for us. Our Son Emanuel J. Perry has touched our lives and the lives of those around us. His journey has been rough but blessed. He not only was a blessing to be having him but to have him on Mothers day, what a special gift from God to be bestowed upon us at such a moment but God loved him so much more and had another plan for him, being guardian angel. Our son passed due to an infection called Chorioamnionitis. 20 percent of neonatal deaths are due to Chorioamnionitis that affects between 1 and 10% of women at term and up to 33% of patients who deliver preterm, sadly we were in this percentage. There was no clear indications of this or even mentioned of the possibilities ever spoken by the doctors until the day of his death. Doctors had given us good servival rates for our son and never expected his death. We were very thankful for the NICU social worker and staff for the care and empathy shown to us as they allowed us to have extra family to visit Emanuel and share with him in his life here for those two days. We are blessed for the time we spent with our lil boy. Tawana & I thank each of you and those that spent time with him and those that sent wishes of love and recovery in advance as well as for your support in helping us raise funds for expenses, recovery and counseling.
