Help Save Pepe
In January, two puppies-Frida
and Pepe- were in need of a loving home after their dad passed away. Friends, family, and the community pulled their resources
together to provide for them. A friend took both of them into her home so that
they would not be separated or sent to the humane society. As a community, we did a beautiful
thing coming together for Frida and Pepe.
Today, they need our help again.
Last night Pepe's curious
nature got him into trouble when he decided that Frida's Rimadyl (arthritis
medication) looked like a yummy treat. So yummy in fact that he ate the entire
bottle! This landed him a trip to Dove Lewis emergency care where he had to
have his stomach pumped.
While he is stable for now,
there is a possibility that he could go into kidney failure. Because of this he
continues to need around the clock monitoring at the vet's office. In the event
of kidney failure, Pepe will need emergency surgery. Even without the surgery,
the cost of care going forward is very expensive.
We are asking people to help
us make Pepe's care a possibility. Please contribute anything you can spare.
These dog's are now truly owned by a community.
