Dolly Abad Memorial Fund/Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation
With the annual anniversary of Dolly Abad's death soon approaching on August 18th, 2011, the Abad family would like to honor her memory in making a donation to the Firehouse Subs® Public Safety Foundation. The Abad family has been franchise owners of Firehouse Subs® in Cumming, GA since 2007.
Dolora Sayoc \"Dolly\" Abad, age 59 of Pensacola Beach, FL passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 while visiting family and friends in California. She was a loving sister, grandmother, mother, friend and devoted wife. She is survived by Frank Abad; three daughters, Lilah Abad, Liza Abad and Darlyne Abad; granddaughter, Ally Aguilar; brothers and sisters, Ruby Sayoc Hembrador, Lita Sayoc Caimol, Nene Sayoc Saporsantos, Freddy Sayoc, Gil Sayoc, Ningning Sayoc Enriquez, Robert Sayoc Jr. and Ron Sayoc; many family members and friends.
The Public Safety Foundation was launched in 2005 by the Firehouse Subs® founders and is dedicated to better equip, educate, and fund public safety entities. Firehouse Subs® goal is to ensure that we are able to impact local communities by providing fire departments, law enforcement and EMS with the tools, technology and training they need.
One story in particular, in 2010 the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation played a big part in helping a man get a second chance at life. The Public Safety Foundation made a generous donation and was revived from a heart attack and is now alive to tell his story.
Firehouse Subs® is announcing the 2011 Sorensen Challenge and will match 100% of this total donation for the Public Safety Foundation. Through the Sorensen Challenge last year, $102,000 was raised and a grand total of $1.1 million was raised for the entire year of 2010.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 and will be donated in a tribute to Dolly Abad. Your donation will help others get a second chance at life and every penny will help. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will honor the life and memory of Dolly Abad.
