Dermot's Wish
Donation protected
We are Chris, Lily and Stacey, friends and colleagues of fellow face painter Dermot Huston.
Approximately one year ago, Dermot was diagnosed with a brain tumour. After very major surgery, we all hoped he was on the road to recovery.
On Thursday 27th November 2014, during a visit with his hospital consultant, Dermot was told the tumour had grown and his condition was critical. He received the devastating news that the hospital can do nothing further to help him fight his battle with cancer and he has, at best, a few precious weeks left to create memories with his devoted wife Christine and their three young children, Sophie, 5yrs, Daniel, 3yrs and Ethan 1yr.
Dermot is just 29 years old.
Dermot is kind, gentle and a devoted husband and father. He has always been generous in his support of family, fellow painters, charities and his community in Northern Ireland.
He is held in the highest regard by all who know him.
His condition has deteriorated rapidly. The family moved Christmas day forward to last weekend for the children and time is now of the essence.
We became aware that Dermot was concerned regarding the burden of his funeral costs on his family.
We do not believe anyone should spend their last precious days with their loved ones worrying in this way.
We know that the global painting community has a fine tradition of becoming an extended family in times of need and we would ask for any support you feel you can offer at this time.
Any donation amount will be very much appreciated.
Donations towards the funeral expenses will allow Dermot peace of mind and his family to focus fully on their last days together.
Please share with anyone you feel may wish to help
On behalf of Dermot's family and friends, Thank you for your support...
