Denlinger Medical and Expenses

On Monday September 15th of 2014 Adam
was involved in an accident where he was electrocuted.
The electricity passed through his body into his left hand
and exited out of his foot. The paramedics arrived within
minutes and rushed him to Detroit Receiving.

Adam's has 3rd degree burns on his chest, back and buttocks (50-60%) of his body. Due to where the electricity struck they were unable to save his left hand and it had to be amputated. He may have another surgery to remove more of his arm at some point since this may not be able to be saved also.

Currently he is under heavy sedation and on a ventilator to help his body heal. Though he faces a number of surgeries further down the road (skin grafts), a long hospital stay, potential rehabilitation center and rehab to learn how to redo his normal day functions.

His wife Felicia is the only income for the family since he
was on disability and he raised their kids during the day
while she worked. He would drive them to and from
school every day since their kids attend a school in a
different city.

Due to his accident Felicia has had to take unpaid time off
of work. She has to pay rent, utilities, make a car
payment, pay insurance and take care of her kids right now
which is difficult with very little money coming in.
This is not even figuring in the extensive hospital bills
she is to receive down the road.

Felicia has been working on her degree part-time in
Accounting and is 4 classes away from graduating.
Prior to the accident she had to put this on hold due to
money. Now it will be put on hold even longer to take
care of her husband.

They have two beautiful children Crystal who is 15 and Adam
Jr who is 10.

They attend church and praise and worship the Lord.
They love to spend time with their family. Going to
the beach, out on his brothers boat, or having a
picnic.
