Debra C's Daughter's Recovery Fund

On Friday, December 8, 2017 Debra Christenson received the call that no parent wants to receive, believe me I've been there.  Her 24 year old daughter Whitney had been rock climbing near her home in Bishop, CA at a popular climbing site when her rope came loose and she fell landing on her head and right side.  She was taken down to where an amblance transported her to Bishop and then she was later air lifted to Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nevada.  Whitney continues to be in an induced coma with a brain injury to what extent we don't know yet.  Whitney had not yet secured full-time employment after graduating from college and is partially being support by her mother who is now at her side, waiting.  In an effort to support Deb being off work and the medical expenses that undoubtedly will not be covered by Deb's medical insurance, please show your support for this wonderful teacher of children who are visually impaired/orientation & mobility in Nevada County.  Both Deb and Whitney have a love for the outdoors and enjoyed every aspect whether it was sailing at Scott's Flat Lake, working with the Yuba River preservation group, snow shoeing, paddle boarding, going to the ocean, it didn't matter.   Deb needs our support to cover the costs that this tragedy will bring.  She is currently having to stay in a hotel to be near Whitney and relying on friends to care for her dogs.    There will be numerous trips to Reno and rehabilitation costs later.   Please take a moment and let's take care of Deb and her child like she takes care of our county's kids.
