Newborn Caregiver Needs Your Help

Loving Nannies is raising money for one of our dearest Newborn Care Specialists, Debbie Hodge. Debbie has been helping families care for their newborns for many years, through Loving Nannies as well as on her own. Debbie has a gift for working with newborns and has dedicated the past 30 years enriching children's lives.

Recently, Deb has been diagnosed with advanced Stage IIIc colorectal cancer and will is currently receiving several rounds of chemo and radiation in the many weeks to come. She will then have eight weeks of recovery before her surgery and then an additional six months of chemo. Due to the severity of her tumor, she had to immediately quit both her current newborn jobs and start treatment immediately, both families whom she has been with since their baby's were born. She is devastated to have to leave these families.


Deb is such a wonderful, amazing person. If you're a parent then you know how important it is to find someone that you can trust care for your child, especially a newborn baby. Deb has cared for preemie twins as well as newborns with medical issues. I personally know first hand how scary it is leaving the hospital with a newborn with medical issues and how valuable someone like Deb can be during this time.

Deb has given so much to our community over the years and deserves help during this stressful time. Loving Nannies set up this GoFundMe account to help Deb out with expensive co pays and deductables ($100-$300 per procedure, appointment and medications, much higher costs for hospital stays and surgeries ), travel expenses and monthly bills associated with everyday life.

Deb will not be able to return to work for at least a  year while she receives her cancer treatments, surgeries and recovers. I would hope that we all would be willing to give something to someone so special. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Even if you cannot donate, please share so that others may read her story.
