Days for Girls in Zimbabwe

Days for Girls is a renowned international organization that aids in providing sustainable, reusable period protection for girls and women. "Days for Girls has reached over 640,000 women and girls in 100+ countries with Kits, each of which will last a girl or woman 2 - 3 years. This translates into over 115 million days of education and opportunity that would otherwise be lost without sustainable hygiene solutions."

Our group of friends and family is made up of Social Workers, Nurses, an Occupational Therapist and more - we are traveling to Zimbabwe with the amazing Rukovo family and will be spending time with Days for Girls to distribute kits in both Zimbabwean provinces, Matabeleland and Mashonaland.
We are fundraising specifically to cover the cost of the kits. What makes our fundraising extra special is that we will be ordering the kits from an enterprise set up in Zimbabwe. So not only are we supporting girls and women with kits but we are also supporting a community of women and men, in Zimbabwe, to work and support their families. Double the awesome!!
Another great reason to support an enterprise - we save the costs of shipping and importing duties. Allowing us to use ALL of the money raised soley for kits.
The big trip is taking place November/December 2018, however, we will need to order and pay for the kits several months before we all take the big flight to Zimbabwe (to allow time for them to make and assemble them ahead of our arrival)
