Day In College

It's time to empower, inspire, and expose kids to the benefits of educational success in their childhood years! My goal is to take 150 students currently apart of Kutz 4 Kids Inc's (K4K) SideKick Mentoring program to a University where they will experience a full day as a college student. College Heroes will assist on this field trip which includes exploring a college campus, visiting a college dorm room, attending educational seminars in college classes, enjoying campus lunch party and activities with university athletes and organizations. In order for this to happen I must raise $5000. Every effort counts so join me by making an investment to support the students journey. How many children will you sponsor today?

Imagine a world where you worked 40-60 hours a week and lived paycheck to paycheck. Maybe even working 70-80 hours a week to make a substantial amount of money, but it prevented you from having quality family time. In both scenarios, you’re working hard to provide, however your children are unable to understand your sacrifices. This situation plays out when parent(s) don’t have the desired time to educate or instill the importance of higher education, goals, and expose their children to what the world has to offer. Our education system can only do but so much.

Here at Kutz 4 Kids Inc. (K4K) we stand by those very principles. We are a nonprofit organization that strives to educate our youth on the importance of higher education, self-empowerment, and professionalism. Each day we meet children who live in these scenarios. Like the proverb says, “it takes a village to raise a child”, and we honestly believe this to be true. Since 2012, we have been filling this void as mentors to children. Their confidence has spread like wildfire in their schools and own homes.

We want to build on our successes and we need your support. Our goal is to help 150 kids experience a full day as a traditional college student. During our “Day in College” experience students will learn from current college students and professors about the importance of higher education, the relationships built and opportunity presented during their pinnacle college years.

For every $35 we receive, a kid will have this life altering experience. Today I ask of you not to help just our kids who need it, but to keep in mind of the parents who are forced to work tirelessly to survive or work overtime, stripping time from their children. Your investment will have a lasting impact on your community and more importantly the children who share this experience.
