Kidney Transplant Apartment

My Mother in law’s name is Dawn. Her kidney failed June 2013, and she has been on dialysis ever since, which is over a year now. She hooks up to the dialysis machine three times a week.  She has very high antibodies from 6 blood transfusions as a result of a kidney biopsy in 2013 so the friends and family that has been tested so far has not been a match.  Her Daughter in Law, Dana (who was tested but is not a match for her) has agreed to be part of a Paired Donation Program where she will give her kidney to someone who has a loved one who has a kidney that is a match to Dawn.  On June 16th we were informed there was a match found on this list.  Both will need to have surgery in Gainesville the week of September 8th.  Dana's kidney will go to Michigan; Dawn’s kidney will come from California.  Dana will be in the hospital for 5 days but will be out of work for approximately 4 weeks.  Dawn will be in the hospital for at least a week but due to the nature of the transplant, blood work and testing She will have to live in the Gainesville area for approximately a month to six weeks.  The hospital does not provide any accommodations for this process.  There will be extra living expenses, gas, extra medication expenses (to start with) and of coarse the loss wages of her daughter in law who although is very generous with her kidney, really can't afford to be out of work 4 to 6 weeks. We are asking for any donations to help.
