Dave Hanlons Battle with Cancer.

Donation protected
Dave Hanlon has the most aggressive form of leukemia there is! He and his family need our help NOW!

Dave has been unable to work this year due to this horrific disease.
Dave Hanlon is a loving husband to Kelly, father of two boys, Ayden and Logan, and a devoted Papa to one beautiful little Bryden Leigh. (Who happens to be the “apple of his eye”) Dave is a son, brother, cousin, and friend. Dave is a hard worker and brother in the local 1256.
Unfortunately, on September 21st, 2021, David was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, otherwise known as AML. AML is a cancer of the Myeloid line of blood cells and progresses, rapidly.
Since being diagnosed, on September 21st, 2021. He was admitted to the Victoria Hospital in London Ontario to begin chemo treatment immediately, where he stayed for the duration being discharged on October 18th, 2021, with 3 more rounds of outpatient chemo treatments to follow.
Dave made it to the first appointment to start the transplant journey in June only to find, he had not achieved remission. He was out of the hospital for about 3 weeks then back in for more chemo. Again, no remission.
This brings us to the present day…
With the help of his wife, Kelly, and her countless hours of research and dedication, they’re refusing to give up. This has meant using many alternative medicines and therapies from around Canada and the U.S, incorporating drugs and supplements, and treatments to slow the progression of this fast-moving cancer. Unfortunately, these supplemental therapies are not covered by insurance or benefits, however, they have already extended his life considerably while at times also, maintaining the quality of his life.
Dave is back and forth between Sarnia and London two plus times per week to receive medication that is provided through injections as well as pill form treatment, which is not covered! This is a $3400.00 per month treatment. Along with Dave’s medications, he is also receiving blood transfusions as his body is no longer producing its own blood.

Together we can make a difference and we are holding onto hope that these treatments prove successful. Dave has so much life left in him, and so much more to share with those around him. Please help us give him that chance.

Sincerely, Stacey Bourke
