Chris needs your help to make Canadian history and become the 23rd Canadian to complete the 7 summits. Help Chris complete a 9 year journey to the most remote locations on earth with his final expedition to Mt Everest in March 2019.
Who is Chris Dare?
Chris is a motivated and exceptional individual who is attempting to accomplish a dream that only 22 Canadians and 416 worldwide have achieved - the 7 summits. The 7 summits is a mountaineering challenge to reach the highest mountains on each of the 7 continents. The journey towards the 7 summits serves not only as a personal challenge but as an inspiration to others in the pursuit of higher achievement. Over the last 8 years, Chris has reached the peak of 6 of the 7 summits and needs your help to reach Everest.
Why does Chris need your help?
Not only is high altitude mountaineering extremely dangerous, physically demanding and time consuming, it is also very expensive. Already on his 3rd mortgage and multiple loans to make previous expeditions work, the Everest expedition will cost over $60,000 and is almost out of reach. Every dollar towards this campaign will not only help make this expedition possible but also safer as old gear will need to be replaced and other specialized equipment is required. No donation is too small and every dollar is appreciated.

Not only is Chris a mountaineer, he is also an accomplished Canadian Forces Officer and veteran of the Afghanistan mission, an outstanding athlete and an active member of the community.
Chris has received wide ranging recognition for his activities. He has been recognized by the Vancouver Chinatown New Century Lions Club and was awarded the Medal of Merit for service to his country, community and outstanding achievement. He has also received both the Land Force Quebec Commander’s Commendation as well as a Chief of Defense Staff Commendation for his military contributions.
He has been featured in publications including CBC News, the Sing Tao, the Ubyssey, Impressions Magazine and the RMC eVeritas. He has been an invited guest and interviewed on CBC Radio, CityTV, Global and Fairchild. Chris has also had a number of opportunities to deliver his motivational messages at a variety of events including the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Youth Leadership Millennium and to an audience of over 400 people at TEDx event at UBC.
