Dad's Medical Bills/Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
My dad, whom is my best friend, suffered 3 strokes within a year. He then received government assisted health insurance. After having his 3rd stroke, his monthly premium raised to $1,000, which he then cancelled due to limited funds he's receiving from his social security benefits for retirement. Upon loosing his insurance, he persisted to have 9 strokes within 1 month, multiple happening in the same day, and has recently suffered a severe stroke that is leaving him temporarily unable to work. He's acquired 10's of thousands of dollars in hospital bills, and with little success in diagnosing a cure, is resorting to extremely expensive out of pocket costs for a mandatory medication. He's already only able to work for little pay per month, and is a stubborn old bird who refuses to sit back and not accept odd, manual labor jobs to make ends meet, which in turn is leaving him vulnerable to fits of strokes which are seemingly always leering. I'm trying to raise money to help pay for his $450 per month medication atleast until I can look into other options that might be available. This money is also an effort to sustain him until steady work is something he can maintain to support him and his wife. Neither of them take handouts, and both work really hard to make ends meet yet live an extremely simple life. Any help is so graciously appreciated.
