DG Supports the Children's Institute

Donation protected
Every year, the greek community at Carnegie Mellon University puts on a series of short musicals in order to raise money for a selected charity. For Greek Sing 2013, the greek community chose to raise money for The Children's Institute of Pittsburgh, a local non-profit organization that supports children, young people, and their families by providing them access to The Hospital, The Day School, and Project STAR.

The Hospital includes an 82-bed inpatient unit and numerous outpatient rehabilitation services for children and young adults. The Day School is an approved private school for children ages 2 to 21 with neurological impairments, including autism. Project STAR promotes the right of all children, especially those with physical, emotional, and intellectual disabilities. For further information please The Children's Institute's website

Last year Delta Gamma Beta Nu raised over $12,000 for the Children's Institute and came in first place for both our Greek Sing show with Pi Kappa Alpha as well as the philanthropy award. This year, the Carnegie Mellon Greek community hopes to raise $100,000 for the organization and Delta Gamma wants to help make this possible.
