Please Support My Dreams of D1 Hockey

Donation protected

My favorite picture by far is from this past Nationals tournament. It shows me celebrating my goal and my mom in the background supporting me. My parents have always done so. My mom is a stay at home mom and my dad works to support 4 kids and their dreams. It has not been easy for them. They struggle every year with the financial responsibility that all our travel sports create. Never once have they told us we couldn't participate in something. They have always found a way to give us those "life experiences". They believe that keeping us active and in sports that we love would keep us out of trouble. So far they have been right.

Hockey is everything to me and the idea of not being able to play is unfathomable. The last 3 seasons I played for the Tampa Bay Scorpions. We won States 2 years in a row and won Nationals in 2013/14. I traveled 2x a week to Clearwater and I live in Orlando. I would leave the house at 4:30 pm and get home at midnight. I chose to be home schooled the first half of my senior year just so I could make the practices. Committment and drive for hockey is not something I lack. Unfortunately financially I do. The gas alone was a small fortune for my parents but they never complained. This years hockey is an even bigger expense. I am going to play Juniors and I know the cost will be way more then my parents can handle. I would like to be able to tell my parents I took care of my hockey. I have a job but it barely pays my car insurance. So the money raised here will be used to pay all my junior hockey expenses. I have to pay my contract fees, monthly fees to billet with another family, expenses to travel home to see my family, and for my gear.

My ultimate goal is to play D1 college hockey in 3 years. There are programs designed to help get you there but like anything, you have to pay your dues. This coming year I plan to work harder then I have ever worked before so that next year the expense will be far less then it is this year. Please help me continue with my dream of reaching D1 hockey so I can go to college playing my dream.
