Support for D. Brian Spaeth

Brian Spaeth, 45 years old, a single father of three beautiful children, has been recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer, with cancer also present in two other areas of his body. Brian, who has grown up in New Castle, DE, now a resident of Landenberg, PA, has been a dedicated, loyal servant of the community his entire life. Earning his Eagle Scout as part of Troop 441 at Hope Lutheran Church, he has never stopped serving and giving back to people and organizations in need, dedicating hundreds (if not thousands) of hours to The Boy Scouts, and donating his time, talents, and money to improving the Hope Lutheran Church building and property (among others).
Being a single dad with three busy kids, as well as building his own home improvement and contracting business, he always made time for others, oftentimes putting himself last. As a result, savings and medical insurance will only go so far fighting this battle. Any contribution amount will help, and will truly contribute in relieving of the financial burden Brian will face in the weeks/months ahead.
As a faithful, born again Christian, Brian truly embodies the servant leadership character, so beautifully modeled by our savior Jesus Christ. As Christians, we know that God's plans are bigger than our plans, and we don't always have the answers to the unexpected challenges and setbacks that come our way. We pray and are thankful for God's promise to always be there with us during our times of trial, and somehow, someway, works things for good.
We thank you in advance for your help, and most importantly for your prayers, as prayer is the strongest force we have... Brian's challenge is big... but our God is bigger.
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
