Help Naomi Crescitelli Fund the Treatment of Her Two Sons’ Long-Term Illnesses
Naomi Crescitelli, our dear friend, is a single mother of four, working day and night to attempt to cover more than exorbitant medical expenses not covered by insurance. Her two young sons require ongoing medical care with no easy treatment plan in sight and no support from family. Naomi is alone in this battle. It is our fervent prayer that through GoFundMe, Christopher and David will receive the treatment they deserve and this mother, friend, and warrior for her children’s well-being, will be able to exhale.
Christopher, 15 years old, is being treated for Lyme Disease & LD Co-infections which he has been fighting valiantly since September of 2017. After numerous hospitalization, lymph node removals and oral antibiotic treatments, there was a stale mate, until Naomi, as persistent and loving as any mother could be found a doctor that is treating him with IV antibiotics which she administers herself every single day because she cannot afford a visiting nurse. His new treatment is not covered by medical insurance. The new treatment will last for at least the next six months.
David, 12 years old, has been managing a variety of long term medical issues since the age of 9. He was diagnosed with Kyphosis at the age of ten with specialized bracing and ongoing visits to spine specialists. He is undergoing intensive Shroth Scoliosis/Kyphosis physical therapy twice a week. Most recently, David underwent an unsuccessful appendectomy, now suffering from lower abdominal, GI & groin pain. He was diagnosed, post-surgery, with Bladder Neck Disease, Gastritis and Esophagitis. Nothing is helping, and David has now been referred to Boston Children’s Hospital for nerve entrapment in and around the surgical site.
Christopher and David’s medical treatment, that is not covered by medical insurance, is draining every resource Naomi has and is costing $3740.00 per month. That number does not include extensive travel, co-pay and prescription costs.
