Expanding Mental Health: Cornerstone Addition

Cornerstone Family Counseling, a nonprofit, has been providing quality mental health care for 40 years.

Since 2005, Cornerstone has seen tremendous growth! In 2009, Cornerstone purchased our current property (1408 -right side of the picture) and since has financed over $175,000 to remodel, allowing us to create a more comfortable environment and more than double our clinical team. Despite the growth, we still struggle to accommodate the number of referrals we receive daily; sadly, some of these children and adults don't receive the care they need. Overall, our community as a whole continues to have a shortage of mental health providers. In 2018, we were able to purchase the home adjacent to our current property in the hope to expand our services again. In the fall of 2022, we hope to start a completely new addition.  We are expecting the project to cost over $1,000,000. The full remodel will provide seven-eight additional offices, including play therapy space, space for group therapy, and life skills training space as well as comfortable common areas. In 2018, Cornerstone provided over 6,000 hours of therapy. Once this project is completed and staffed, we are estimating the ability to offer over 11,000 hours of treatment a year, helping hundreds of more individuals and families.

Our History: Cornerstone Counseling was founded in 1985. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, which seeks to provide services while covering all of our operating costs. All donations are tax-deductible.
