Cookie Company Startup In Norway

Hi! My name is Jennifer Odegard and I have started a cookie company here in Norway called Smør Baked Goods.  Smør = butter in Norwegian. My dream is to launch my business by taking part in Norway's largest food festival "Gladmatfestivalen" (meaning The Happy Food Festival) in July 2018.  The festival goes over the course of 4 days, 9 hours a day with the expectation of 250,000 attendees.

I need 50,000kr (approx $6,000 USD) to cover expenses and that's where I am coming to you for help. Sign-ups for the festival begin in February and that's when I will need my initial 10,000kr ($1,176USD) to cover the admission fee. 

Additional Expense includes:
Display tables, display plates, cake stands, labeling etc.
Signage 
Storage bins
Rent for a professional kitchen
Salary for employees (minimum 2) 
Ingredients
Packaging 
Coffee Maker, coffee, coffee filters, cups + lids
Garbage can and bags
Electrition to supply power to my booth
Plumber to set up food safe water/hand washing station
Cash register and credit card terminal  

Eventually, I want to open my own cookie boutique in downtown Sandnes but it all starts here with one irresistibly sweet booth at a local food festival. 


A little about me, I am a born and raised American who has been living in Norway with my husband and two young boys for almost 5 years now. I have always had a sweet tooth but most of all I love sharing with others. There is nothing like seeing the joy on a persons face when they are fully enjoying one of your cookies and going back for more. I want to continue serving up smiles and with your help, I'm ready to do it on a large scale.
