CLONMANY GENEALOGY FLOOD FUND

Following the unexpected and unprecedented flash flooding during Tuesday night throughout Inishowen and the North West of Ireland, we woke on the morning of Wednesday, 23rd August 2017 to find scenes of destruction and heartbreaking stories of loss.

Whilst we are eternally grateful that there have been no major injuries nor loss of life, some local people have greatly been affected by the flood waters and need our help.  There have been many calls to this group to assist in funding a campaign of financial support to those who need it most.

There are those in the local area that have been left homeless and there are those who have lost the entire contents of their homes.  This fund will go some way to eliviate their immediate financial needs.  A local committee has been set up to administer the fund once the target is reached.

Many thanks to those of you who wish to support, especially those of you who have contacted us from overseas with offers of help from afar.
