Help for Claude's lovely Minako

Hello I'm Claude's sister, Guylaine. I just recently lost an incredible brother in a very short amount of time and too early. He brought us so much joy in our lives and lived a life that could and will be looked up too. He also left behind an incredible family. 19 years ago, Claudie (also known as "Cloud in the sky") was on his death bed. He was diagnosed with Crohn's disease which led him to lose lots of weight. At 6 foot 6 inches, he weighed in at just over 140 lbs. He was literally skin and bones. After some complications in surgery for a colostomy, he was able to recover and gain his weight all back. He stomped through life with his size 15s and his wonderful loving attitude.

A few years later, after he regained his footing (skis are hard to walk in), he met this incredible woman. Minako brought him so much joy in his life that has been wrought with pain. So much joy that he ended up marrying this woman just before the pandemic. Minako and Claude we're on their way to developing a beautiful life together.

Claude had just bought a condo in Saint-Albert (prior to meeting Minako) and was starting to build his little castle. It may be that this castle was more made out of sand than any other material, but it was a castle none the less. Unfortunately the waves of the ocean of the after world came too quick for Claude's castle.

He thought after walking in the hospital a week earlier that he had torn a muscle in his stomach. He was hit on July 21st 2021 with the news that he had stage 4 cancer after the long wait for a biopsy. His time had come. Two days later, he asked to see a priest to say his last wishes and 5 days later (Wednesday July 28th 2021) his suffering had finally finished.

At the age of 53 Claude did not expect to have passed away this early and neither did his newly wed wife. As their nest egg is small and castle out of sand, we are asking for a bit of help to get Minako and her family through these tough times. Help us build the dike to protect Claude's sand castle legacy. We have set an amount that will help pay for the funeral and hopefully 6 mtonths of Minako's approximate living requirements.
