Clara Montana, an amazing mom and person, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. She was diagnosed with liver cancer a week prior to her hospitalization, where she passed away. Clara's husband passed away three years ago. She leaves behind a 9-year-old daughter, Jewel, a 22 year-old daughter, Maxine, and a brand new baby grandson, Nova. Maxine gave birth to Clara's first grandson, Nova just two days before she passed.
Clara was an incredibly dedicated mother. Her two girls meant everything to her!
Clara's courageous and strong spirit got her through many obstacles in life. She kept moving forward, all the while still supporting others. She even managed to throw Maxine a baby shower while being sick.
Clara was a member of Victory Outreach Church near Zuni and San Mateo and a dedicated Christian.
Clara was extremely generous and giving. She volunteered regularly at Lew Wallace Elementary School. She was a bright and shining member of the school community and the staff are heartbroken from her loss.
Maxine is trying to care for her new baby and her younger sister while trying to arrange services to lay her mother to rest. She needs some help to fund funeral costs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
