Dear Family and Friends,
Through a multi-step interview process and with limited invitations, I have been offered to participate in the Leadership Institute at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV)! The ten month program provides training in ten different competencies that cannot be taught effectively in the classroom; it is real-world project-based learning. The on-site, residency program will have me working with ministry leaders in preparation for a lifetime of ministry service. Upon completion, CCV will assist me with my resume preparation, references, and ministry contacts toward securing gainful employment. I thank God for opening my eyes and leading me to such an opportunity and I am excited to embark on this journey, however I need your help financially to get there.
I am asking for prayer support most of all, but if God places it on your heart to help me get to CCV, any amount is greatly appreciated. The tuition for the Leadership Institute, which includes all of the materials, is $6,400. My first deadline (and first day of training) is August 1st. Know that whatever you give financially will be used for His purpose. Like Pastor Chris has said before, “Your faithfulness in giving will go a long way in teaching the students about God’s provision.” I know this to be true because I’m proof of having been through that ministry and now wanting to give my life for God’s purpose because of His faithfulness.
God has stirred in me the desire to share with younger people the hope that God gives me. For the last two years I have been volunteering in the Junior High Ministry (Livewire). Being involved with Livewire has challenged me to the core to step out of my comfort zone and into something crazy, fun, messy, hard, and impactful. I’ve loved every bit of it. Livewire has confirmed my passion to share the Good News with young people and to tell them about a Savior who is madly in love with them.
I am so thankful for this opportunity to grow in just about every way possible. During this residency, we are to go and experience the land where Jesus himself walked. This is such an amazing opportunity and a chance of a lifetime. Applying for this residency has been a leap of faith since day one, and with leaps of faith come challenges, but each challenge so far has given me an opportunity to lean more on God and trust in His ways.
