Support for our fellow '94 Jaguar

As some of you may have heard, Chris Myers, the husband of one of our fellow '94 Jags, Kristine (Anderson) Myers, was diagnosed last week with stage 2 brain cancer.  (Visit CaringBridge Site for Chris Myers) As this diagnosis came so suddenly for Chris, Kristine and their two young girls, we can all only imagine how overwhelming the prospect of this new,  completely unexpected journey, with all of its unknowns, must feel like for them.  

For those of you who have ever walked the cancer journey, either personally or with a loved one, you most likely know what it feels like to have friends and loved ones say to you, "Please let us know if we can do anything to help out."  And yet, at the moment you hear these well-meaning words, you feel so overwhelmed by the task in front of you, you simply don't have the wherewithal to identify what it is you actually need, must less know how to ask for help.

With this in mind, it seemed appropriate to reach out to you all, the class of '94, to ask if you would consider lending a financial hand in a manner that might lighten just a little bit of the burden for the Myers family.  At this time, I would like to offer them...

- A weekly housekeeping service, so that they don't have to spend any of their precious energy on the regular upkeep of their home.

- Delivery of groceries and other necessities to their home.

- A generous gift certificate to Massage Envy, so that they might be able to tend to the physical strain that this type of journey puts on their bodies.

- Any other service or offering that might provide support for them during this difficult time (I am more than open to suggestions). 

Thank you all for being the kind of people whom I know I can easily reach out to in times such as these.  Nearly a quarter of a century ago, we walked through some of the most challenging years of our young lives together, and I believe in my gut that we will continue to be there for each other in times of need.  

We are jaguars, and we stick together.
