Help Charlie Beat Cancer-BucketList
I am hoping to raise money so I can send my oldest Brother Charlie to Jerusalem, as this is one of his wishes on his Bucket List that are outside of my ability, as well as our entire family’s ability. Here is a quote from Charlie about wanting to see Jerusalem: "Jerusalem would be a dream trip to visit the ancient city and all the history involved in this area that is holy to the Jewish, Islamic and Christian people. Taking in the sites, touching the building from ancient history, walking the streets Jesus walked and experiencing the center of all these cultures within one city. It would be a dream ending to my life."
You noticed I mentioned Bucket List... This is because my brother has been diagnosed with inoperable, incurable renal carcinoma. As Cancer is an unpredictable monster we can not say for certain what time he has to complete his bucket list. So I am reaching out through GoFundMe hoping we can make a dream of his come true by the end of the year.
Charlie says: "After 8 years of depression and disease I am now ready to reach deep into my bucket list and begin accomplishing those dreams and finally achieve what I can no longer put off for a later time. My desire to travel still burns inside me"
I have done the research and priced everything needed for him to make the trip and be comfortable and enjoy himself. The Pricing for this trip I am hoping to raise will buy:
Airline tickets and Hotel stay for a week ($2400)
A car rental for the week ($450)
gas and insurance plan ($150)
Food for the week (approx $420)
That would leave about $550 extra for emergencies.
I have researched other opportunities that might be able to assist with his wishes, but they all would not allow any travel outside of the US. So here I am Hoping and Praying that I have chosen the proper path to helping get my Brother to Jerusalem this year!
About my Brother Charlie... He is 14 years older than I and he has played a huge part in my up bringing. He has helped me stay on the right path through my trials of life. But not only has he been an inspiration to me, he has help so many others too. A man of Faith, he is always looking to help and uplift anyone who is in need. He has spent many years as a missionary and during that time moved to Ghana Africa of over 7 years helping, praying, and providing guidance and direction where he was able. He was also involved with a group of men who went by the name of "Team Extreme ". Watch the link I provided to see the wonderful way Charlie was able to be a part of Team Extreme and bring an awesome show and uplift so many people giving them all Hope! If more than enough money is raised for this expedition for Charlie, he has one last request:"Yet, even greater is the yearning to place my feet on the continent of Antarctica. I have visited and ministered on the other six continents, but not Antarctica, it would be an exercise in completion and traveling the entire world. Along the way on this long journey to the bottom tip of the world I would experience many new peoples and cultures, and hopefully be a blessing as I will surely be blessed. I am ready to go!"
