Charles Ftacek AKA Brody Taylor

On Sept 1st while driving on the freeway at 11pm, someone came out of no where and hit Charles on the driver's side.  After 4 weeks of testing, 1 cat scan, 4 MRIs, and tons of constant pain, it came out that there's a surgery he may need where they go in through the back of your skull to relieve the pressure.  After meeting with the neurosurgeon, he said he can't do the surgery yet because there's to much damage to the surrounding area. He said if he were to do the surgery now it would be about 18 months of recovery. he's supposed to rest and focus on his further treatments and then have another MRI and go forward from there.  The surgery is called a Chiari Malformation with a craniectomy and a syrinx. His medical bills alone are astronomical and overwhelming to him and continue to go up.
Not being able to work has made it challenging. He's had to drop his pride (which is extremely difficult) and ask friends and family for help. Through all the pain and concussion symptoms he also has moments of anger, frustration, sadness, and fear. He also has moments of optimism, hope, and faith. He's learning that it's okay to not be ok all the time and that reaching out for help isn't always a bad thing. We never know what tomorrow will bring but the one thing we should always be able to count on is that no matter what we're going through we have friends and family that are always there for whatever we may need.
Due to all of this it has put him in a finacial strain as well as emotional, as I am sure you can understand. Therefore I am asking for your help to make this a little less stressful for him and help him relax and heal quickly.
