And the cat isn't Even Hers
Three months ago, Carol co-signed a $6,000 care credit loan to help a man save the life of his young cat. Once his cat had recovered, the man told Carol that he does not intend to repay ANY of the loan, even though he had initially promised to pay it back in its entirety.
Carol Green has been an outstanding member of the cat rescue community. Over many years, she has rescued, neutered, housed and cared for dozens of cats, is a member of GARF (Garfield Animal Rescue Foundation ), and feeds feral colony cats daily.
The $200 minimum monthly payments on the loan have put considerable strain on Carol financially. Not only does she rely heavily on a modest social security income to pay everyday expenses. If Carol were to default on the loan, she would not be able to refinance her home, and could therefore lose the shelter she has long maintained for herself and the many cats that reside there with her.
Your donation--no matter how small--will go towards reducing the burden of Carol's $6,000 care credit loan and other veterinary expenses. All funds acquired through this campaign will be used for the welfare of our feline friends!
