Recovery for Casey Turnbough

My sister Casey and I.

My sister Casey Turnbough is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Portales New Mexico. On July 19, 2013 she was in a horrendous car accident and the ER doctors did not expect her to live.  They transported her to University Medical Center in Lubbock Texas, and her prognosis was not the best.  She had suffered a major brain injury (axonal diffuse) and we did not know if she was going to pull through.  After a month in local hospitals, and very little improvement, Casey was transported to the Craig Hospital for Brain and Spine injuries in Denver Colorado.  There she began progressing and finally was released 4 months from her accident date.  Since the accident Casey has lost her employment, and is still struggling with her medical bills, and trying to support her two children.. She has not been fully released by doctors to return to a full time Nurse Practitioner position, and it is really putting a strain on her family. Casey is an amazing person.  She has done so much to help so many people in the past,  but now she needs help herself.  Our whole family was affected, and all of our lives were put on hold to make sure Casey wouldn't leave us, and would always be supported.  She is loved by so many, and she is my sister.  Typically Casey is the one that is helping others.  I would love to help her out in this case.
